So how many of our New Year’s resolutions have been tumbling down in the first two weeks of 2018 already?
Good. Because I absolutely don’t believe in anything that has to do with linking resolutions to days, weeks, months or years. It is like waiting for monday to finally start working out or eating healthy. And, damn, that monday never comes, but we still keep on waiting.
Instead of postponing our goals, in which we usually don’t succeed in sustaining them, we can focus a little more on not giving up. Instead of postponing your good intentions to every monday and crying every wednesday morning that you ruined all of these intentions, you can focus on your daily progress.
Start today. Just today. And keep thinking positive and believe in the fact that you are able to reach any goal you set for yourself. If you have a bad day, don’t worry. Just pick it up again and keep on going. Don’t forget that it’s not just one day of skipping your workout session or eating 5 pizzas for dinner is going to ruin your whole life and keep you away from your goals for a lifetime. Definitely not, but a mindset that you will keep failing to maintain healthy habits, because you focus on a wonder to happen on a monday, which is going to transform your mindset magically in a strong disciplined one and you’re gonna hate pizza for the rest of your life.. That. Is. Not. Gonna. Happen.
So you will have to find a way to start loving working out, start loving taking care of yourself, start loving your health, start loving healthy foods and as soon as you see some progress, you’re gonna have to focus only on the positive results, which are gonna keep you going.
That’s how it works, honey. It is never too late to start. Set out the wildest goals of your dreams and proof yourself that you are able of achieving them. It will be so much fun, once you realize that you’re not a victim of the circumstances, you are a victim of your own negative way of thinking.
Oh and once you’re standing where you’ve always dreamed of being, on top of the “mountain” of your goals, may it be in your killer booty or fancy abs, you can always turn back and eat all the pizzas in town. But you will know at least that you’ve been there and done that and that you are able of doing it all over again. Because you can. Believe in yourself. I do believe in you.
(Yeah, I love pizza, can’t help it. I’m sorry.)
